Christmas Eve Outfit

Wearing: Forever 21 mesh top, skinny jeans, + bag, H&M blazer
Merry Late Christmas everyone! I hope your Christmas was spent well and with good food and company! Since I've been slacking with updating, I thought I'd share the only good picture I got of my outfit on Christmas Eve, so voilĂ ! I'm really sorry the quality of the picture is really shitty, but you can pretty much tell what my entire outfit looks like. For shoes, I just wore my black Dr. Marten boots (as usual).  I'm kinda bummed that you can't see the detail on the shirt that I'm wearing underneath my blazer, so I'm just going to include this picture I took without my blazer on:
I've been really into tops with this mesh detailing lately. I actually have a black sweater with a similar mesh concept to it. I just think they're fun and it's a really great way to feel kinda ~sexy~ without actually showing some skin. Anyways the reason why I haven't been updating this blog is because I made another blog! It's more of a 'lifestyle' blog where I'll just be posting about stuff I want to talk about, things I'm loving, that sort of thing. So if you're interested in checking it out, click here and hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as this blog! Again, I hope all of you had a very lovely Christmas and I hope you all make the most of what's left of 2013!!!

Daisies and Corduroy

Wearing: Topshop daisy blouse ; Forever 21 Plaid Corduroy Pants ; Dr. Marten boots
Today's outfit is rather simple, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway! I'm wearing one of my favorite tops from Topshop (which I also have in black), and these amazing plaid corduroy pants I picked up over my break. I've always tended to stray from corduroy anything, but when I saw these in the store I thought I'd try them on and I actually fell in love with them. I'm really sad though that you can't see the true color of the pants. They're a really dark maroon and these pictures just aren't doing them any justice, so I'll just insert a picture of them here:

Shades of Grey

Wearing: Forever 21 cardigan, dress, + tights ; Dr. Marten boots
Welp, December is finally among us. November felt like it only lasted a week! Man oh man, where does time go? I apologize for my brief absence! I was home for Thanksgiving break last week and didn't really find time to update my blog because I was busy catching up with friends or going out with my sister. That and I wore really boring things any time I went out, so I didn't think any of my outfits would be worth putting up. I noticed I always dress rather mundane when I'm home compared to when I'm at school, but now that I'm back to school (unfortunately),  I'll hopefully be able to get a few posts up! Anyways, I hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! Cheers to this final month of 2013! Make the most of it while you can!

Smart Casual

Wearing: H&M blazer ; American Apparel Power Washed Tee ; Forever 21 jeans ; Dr. Marten boots
When I was getting dressed  this morning, all I had on were my jeans and a t-shirt and I was trying to figure out how to spruce my outfit up a bit. I decided on a blazer because I felt like being somewhat formal/business-like (and there's probably a better term for that, but it's Monday and I'm exhausted so that's my excuse). I saw it as an opportune moment to wear one of my favorite blazers. I think I got this blazer two years ago from H&M. Or maybe even last year, but I know they always bring out this specific style (or something similar) in different colors every fall/winter so check 'em out if you're looking for a blazer this season!

Hello November

Wearing: American Apparel circle scarf (in truffle), side zip shorts, and Bobby Lace Up shoes ; Thrifted button up ; Forever 21 trench coat
Has time passed by so quickly that it's already four days into November?! Halloween was just a few days ago, which I feel like didn't even happen! I'm really excited for this month to go by though because I love Thanksgiving and getting ready for the holidays. Anyhow, while I was home this past weekend I stopped by one of my favorite places: work. For those of you who don't know, I work at American Apparel, and although I'm away at school and not working right now, my manager told me that I can work during winter break and again next summer. So thank god to that. I wanted to pick up a few things and I've specifically been eyeing the Truffle colored Circle Scarf since August so I knew that I had to grab that. But while I was there I figured I might as well get two more and take advantage of the 'buy two of the same style, get the third half off' promo (which I had actually forgotten about until my coworker mentioned it to me) so I got a black and grey one as well. If you're looking for a basic infinity scarf that'll keep you warm and last a long time, stop by an American Apparel and check out the circle scarves! They're so cozy that I might have to get a few more in different colors!
