Metallic and More Floral

Hey guys! I know I just posted a mini haul, and I probably should've waited until I accumulated a few more things to post another haul, but I couldn't wait to show you guys these two items I picked up the other day! I've been eyeing the Tripp NYC pink floral jeans for about a month now and I've been wanting to go to Urban Outfitters to see if they have them, but when I saw these floral ones at JcPenney, I knew I had to try them on because they're pretty much a dupe for the Tripp NYC ones! They fit perfectly on me and they aren't extremely long which is great because I usually have a hard time finding jeans that are the perfect length. I'm glad that I can still get a few more uses out of them before it gets hot out since it's strangely still chilly here in the Chicago suburbs (Cold in May? Come on now!) Also while I was at JcPenney, I immediately fell in love with this metallic gold skirt that caught my attention from far away. I'm glad I decided to get it because it was the last one in my size! And it's actually from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's line for JcPenney, so I thought that was kinda cool! I've got to admit, I've never really been a big fan of JcPenney, but after this trip, I've been enlightened because they actually have some pretty cool clothes. You just have to really look through everything and have a good eye. That and both my mom and sister have been finding some really cute things as well lately, so that's only made me want to go to JcPenney even more! (Check out my sister's blog here! She'll probably be putting up her JCP haul too!) And I forgot to mention that both of these items were on sale! The floral jeans were only $10 (compared to the Tripp NYC ones that are $39.99) and the skirt was only $7! So $17 for a pair of great jeans and a cute skirt was not a bad deal at all! I definitely suggest that you visit your nearest JcPenney because you'll never know what you'll find! Anyways, I hope everyone has had a lovely Sunday/Mother's Day!

Clouds, Floral, and Neon Green.

Second post today! I just wanted to show you guys a few things I bought last month. It isn't much, but I thought I'd still share anyways! I picked up the floral bomber and neon green bag (which has a long strap by the way) at Von Maur. They were both on sale, which I was ecstatic about because I've been wanting a neon bag for so long now, and the floral bomber I just couldn't leave without it. You can't really tell from the picture, but the sleeves are actually sheer. The cloud print shirt is from the online store Choies. I fell in love with it immediately when I saw it on their website! And it's really soft too! I can't wait to style these pieces! I've put together a few outfits in my mind with them, and I've already been getting so much use from the neon green bag. Look out for future posts featuring these items! Oh and on a side note, I recently joined Instagram and Vine, so if you have either of those and would like to follow me, that would be great! My Instagram link will be on the right side, and you can find me on Vine @amynn. Happy Tuesday everyone!

My Met Gala Favorites

Emma Watson in Prabal Gurung
Aubrey Plaza in Marios Schwab
Stacy Keibler in Rachel Roy
Naomie  Harris in Donna Karan Atelier
Amber Heard in Emilio Pucci
Minka Kelly in Carolina Herrara
Rooney Mara in Givenchy
Cara Delevingne in Burberry
Sienna Miller in Burberry
Hey everyone, I'm finally back home for the summer! Can't believe another school year has gone by already! And so fast too! This summer break is just what I needed, and I'm glad that I'll have time to blog again! It feels like it's been centuries since the last time I did a proper blog post! So look forward to more frequent updating! Anyways, the 2013 Met Gala was a few days ago, and I wasn't really sure if they were showing any red carpet footage on TV, but I kept seeing a lot of buzz about it on Twitter and such, so I thought I'd take a look for myself and see what all the hubbub was about. I noticed a few consistent trends like lace, spikes, feathers, cutouts and sheer panelling, deep V-cuts, bold prints, and sequins. There were definitely some crazy looks that night and I found myself not really liking any of them... But pictured above are the looks that I did like. Gosh, Rooney Mara and Amber Heard looked heavenly in their lace dresses. In contrast, the stunning Cara Delevingne and Sienna Miller were bad asses in their studded pieces. Can someone just steal Sienna's jacket for me? Seriously, it is to die for. To see more fashion from the Met Gala, click here. What were some of your favorites and least favorites from the Met Gala? Tell me below!

Insta-Update!

Hey everyone! I apologize that I haven't been blogging much lately! A few posts back I said that I'd probably be posting less in the next few weeks because of finals and projects, and it's definitely taken away from me actually sitting down to put something up! But I thought I'd do a quick Instagram update just so you all know that I'm still alive! And I did just get an Instagram, so if you want to follow me, my username is @amyliangg. And thanks for still sticking around with me! There's only 11 more days until I officially go home for the summer, so definitely expect to see more frequent posting from me! I already have a mini haul that I plan on posting, but that most likely won't be up until I'm home. Anyways, Happy Friday!

Statement Tees

All tees can be found on Choies.

I'm all about making a statement in the most hassle-free ways possible, so what better way to do that than with a bold graphic tee? Admit it, we all have those lazy days when we don't want to think too much about putting an outfit together, but we still want to 'pop'. I think graphic tees with some sort of loud, obnoxious print or graphic are the perfect way to be bold on those dull days. These are just a few of my favorites from the online store Choies. They have such a wide variety of printed tees, that there's bound to be something for everyone! Give their website a look if you haven't before because they have other amazing pieces as well, such as dresses, sweaters, skirts and more!
